Longboard

I've recently gotten into Longboard. I saw a couple of guys cruise around in Oslo and it looked so fun I had to give it try.
I got the hang of it pretty fast, with only a little accident due to me misjudging the quality of the asphalt.
It was a lot easier standing on the board then I first expected, and I have no prior skateboard experience.
Try it out, It is great!
Oslo

I went to Oslo a little while ago to see one of my favorite bands, Flight of the Conchords, live.
This was also the first time I had the chance to take my time and really explore what Oslo had to offer.
I had a great time. I stayed at a friends place the first night and at a hotel in the middle of the city the two following nights.
Visited a lot of amazing pubs, stores and restaurants. I had a blast.
Flight of the Conchords exceeded my wildest expectations and they are by far the best live act I've seen till this date.
I've given it a lot of thought and decided to move to Oslo.
PS. I recommend checking out a camera app called "camera+" if you're an iPhone user.
League of Legends
Hi there. Once again I'm sorry for the lack of updates.
I haven't been up to much, except for a little vacation to Puerto Rico trip right before Christmas.
I've been playing a lot of League of Legends with a couple of friends lately.
It's an online multiplayer game based of the popular DotA map for WC3.
You control a champion on a tower defense map and have to work together with your teammates to destroy the other teams towers and base.
I should also mention it's free. You can download it from www.lol-europe.com or www.leagueoflegends.com if you live in the US.
Wiiiiiiiii
I've been thinking about buying a Nintendo Wii since the very first time I heard about it, but just kept postponing it because of the lack of (in my opinion) great games.
I'm a huge fan of the Mario and Zelda games, but other than that, most games looked too childish and even really bad.
Nintendo just released a black limited edition of the Wii and a new Mario game so I felt now was the time to purchase one.
I was really surprised by Wii Sports : Resort which the Wii came bundled with. It's brilliant.I've had friend over and we've played it three days in a row now.
I have also bought the New Super Mario game and it's awesome, but so far Wii Sports have seen more time inside the Wii.
Better late than never…..right?
Hey guys. I haven't posted any updates in a while now, sorry 'bout that, but it's mainly because I haven't been up to much.
After reading a lot of very positive reviews I had to try out Aion.
First thing that struck me is how much of a resemblance it is to WoW. The game play is very much alike and many of the shortcuts are the same. The graphics are a bit better, but even with it's animeish style it reminds me a lot about WoW.
This is not necessary a bad thing, but I'm after another gaming experience.
Aion got a lot of neat stuff too. The story is pretty cool and the enemies are original and refreshing.
One last thing I want to mention that really ruined much for me was the gold farmer spammers. They kept spamming the general chat 24/7 and I could never read what the other players was saying.
Another game I've been playing is Brütal Legend.
Latest game from legendary game designer Tim Schafer. I've played through all his games except Psychonauts which I have yet to try.
The game takes place in a heavy metal fantasy world and the main character is voiced by none other than Jack Black!
The art design is pure awesomeness and the jokes are hilarious. I haven't played through it yet, because I'm trying to do all side quests, but so far I'm having a blast!
The controls is a little awkward and I've experienced some frame rate drop, but other than that it's a great game.
The music is great and there's a lot to explore. Highly recommended!
I want to finish this post by telling you guys about a new site called Dailybooth.
It's basically twitter with pictures and it's quite fun. My username there is Brochs.
Tritton Ax Pro 5.1
I've considered buying a surround system for a while now, but I live in a small apartment so in consideration for my neighbors, I started looking into surround headsets instead.
After reading loads of different reviews on several headsets I came over the Tritton Ax Pro 5.1.
They provide Dolby Digital sound for both the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, DVD-player and PC/MAC and they had by far the best reviews.
I ordered from an online store here in Norway and received them a couple of days later.
Very impressed with the sound quality. The surround is also excellent.
I could pinpoint nearby enemies in Call of Duty 5 without any difficulties and the sound gave an almost cinematic experience.
They are also very comfortable to wear, so I don't get any ear pain which I normally get from other headsets.
Only con in my books is that there are a little too many cables. They take up two power outlets, but other then that, Highly recommended.
Geocaching
After watching the guys on Totally Rad Show and talking to a friend, I decided to check Geocaching out.
Here are some copy + paste from the official site.
Geocaching is a high-tech treasure hunting game played throughout the world by adventure seekers equipped with GPS devices. The basic idea is to locate hidden containers, called geocaches, outdoors and then share your experiences online. Geocaching is enjoyed by people from all age groups, with a strong sense of community and support for the environment.
My first try was a failure due to my iPhones GPS function that doesn't work after 3.0. The second try went a lot smoother (I brought a map instead). I've tried it out today to and had a blast.
People find really cleaver ways to hide the caches. The first one I found was hidden inside a steel pipe under a bridge inside a magnetic container.
This one had me and my cousin crawling and looking through the nearby rocks for a good hour.
I had almost given up when I finally took a closer look on a nearby pole.
This one was found pretty quickly, and we had a good laugh afterward.
We even opened and looked inside each power outlet without noticing it at first.
I have found four caches so far and I will definitively continue looking for more. Just need to get my iPhone fixed or buy a hand held GPS. My username on the official site is Brochs. Check it out!
Ding!
Ding! Your age has increase by 1, Your playtime has decreased by 1.
Birthdays aren't as great as they used to be any longer, but I'm not going to make this into a whine post.
My vacation is coming to an end. Nothing worked out as planned but I've still had a great vacation.
I spent most of my time in Finnsnes with exception of a little Sweden trip.
I still have two weeks left of vacation time which I will save for traveling later this year.
Still Alive
I haven't had much to write about latley, but I'm making a quick post to let you guys know I'm still kickin'.
Lately, I've been almost every weekend in Finnsnes, visiting my folks and my sister.
Had a great time partying there and playing Guitar Hero/Rock Band at my sisters place on their awesome surround system.
I will try to upload some random Finnsnes pictures later today on my picasa account.
I've ditched Ubuntu for trying out Windows 7 on my workstation.
Ubuntu worked fine as a workstation and I did fix the problems I had, but I was starting to miss some tools I grown used to in Windows and for some reason my filesystem felt really slow at times.
Anyway, Win 7 exceeded my expectations, which were very low after Vista.
The RC version works really great. I have some minor driver problems, but nothing serious.
I'm going to finish by letting you know my summer vacation is coming up. Only three days left!
Great Loot
These are my two latest "investments".
I've wanted a descent digital system camera for a while now, so when I got the chance to buy a Canon 450D that just been unboxed for a ridiculously low price, I couldn't resist.
Haven't had the chance to take any cool pictures yet, but I'll upload them to my Flickr account when I do.
My second and (maybe) most awesome new gadget is the SF4 Tournament Edition Fighting Stick.
This arcade stick is extremely hard to find and I was just lucky to find one after they all got sold out.
It has Sanwa parts, which are considered the best hardware for arcade sticks/buttons and used on nearly every arcade machines throughout Japan.
I haven't tried enough arcade sticks to be able to give a fair review, but by those I've tried, this one is by far the best. Now I can't blame the controller if I'm losing in Street Fighter 4
I added some pictures of the arcade stick here, even thou they won't do it justice.
